E6/E20 north of Malmö will be closed for 18 days in May. Traffic will be diverted May 13-30 – Expect major disruptions.

The Swedish Transport Administration needs to rebuild the motorway bridge at the Alnarp junction north of Malmö to proceed with the railway expansion between Malmö and Lund. During 18 days, may 13-30, the E6/E20 will be closed in both directions at the Alnarp junction.

Traffic will be diverted to other roads during the motorway closure. Alternatives will be signposted. Expect major traffic disruptions and congestion on the E6 and other roads in southwest Skåne.

Reconstruction work of the railway tracks between Malmö and Lund began in autumn 2017. The two existing tracks will become four, increasing capacity on the route and reducing disruptions to train traffic.
